Expanding from our mailer last week, we're going to take a deeper dive on Routines. Routines are programmable actions you set for your Items. You'll soon be able to run Routines manually from any of your Companions or enable them to run automatically in response to a preset schedule, under certain conditions, or when you're in a certain location.

SimpleCommands can always continue to expand the variety and number of available devices (which we are constantly working on!), but Routines represent the next big step in the platform’s evolution.

Routines enable a certain level of automation across SimpleCommands. I'm sure you have seen countless media outlets promoting the powers of automation and its promise of increased productivity, lower costs, and ability to allow you to pursue more creative, less monotonous pursuits; and that is the exact goal of many companies involved with IoT.

SimpleCommands is no exception. We would love to enable our users have more free time and peace of mind so they can pursue their passions. But what separates SimpleCommands from other devices and services is the feeling of control. Whether you're a tech-junky who has everything in your house, car, and office hooked up to a network or are hesitant to buy your first smart light bulb, you want to feel like you're in control of your own life. The combination of the simplicity of our platform with the ubiquitous nature of our Companions allows anyone to always be in control of all their devices! Routines just expand this control to a point where it's automated (and express your creativity with Routines)!

Routines by SimpleCommands. Simple, smart, and self-sufficient so you can be in control whether you are home or on the road.
